I know, I know, it's been awfully quiet around here recently. All I can say is that I'm trying to work a few things out at the moment but I'm on my way back to blogging, I'm just juggling a lot at the moment.

Enough of the excuses. Let's get down to the reason for this post's existence. Seven long years ago to this date, I decided to sit down and create a simple little Blogger site to document not only my love for beauty but also to accompany me on a huge journey I was about to embark on; moving to the UK and starting my first year at university.

It's been a while...

My, my, my, it's certainly been a while, hasn't it? I'll spare you the boring ramble about how I lost all motivation and inspiration and then Christmas happened and then meh. That's all you need to know - thrilling, non? As I'm growing as a human being my opinions and preferences are changing with me and I've finally figured out that I can no longer blog like I did 5 years ago, it simply doesn't make sense anymore.

Yep, you read that right: I'm sick of social media and how it's f***ing up my blog. For as long as I can remember, interaction has been perhaps the biggest reason for my blog's existence. Yes, I do love messing around with my camera and the thrill of writing up a cracking post, but the response and interaction that I get from readers and friends alike have always been my biggest motivation.

Mid year reflections.

Every year I set myself a 'bucket list' of sorts - fifty goals varying in difficulty, commitment and theme to help me to make the most out of the twelve months that lie ahead. It's been a while since I've visited 2016's list, which happens to be neatly squashed into the last few pages of my (sadly underused) diary, so I thought it was time today to revisit and reevaluate to see how much I've been able to accomplish in the last eight months.
