My first 'selfie-shoot'
You know what I'm sick of? Not having a damn boyfriend, pal or even family member who knows how to operate a camera. Seriously - my life would be so much easier with easy access to a trusty amateur photographer that I could just pay with hugs and hot chocolate. Wouldn't that be the dream? Unfortunately for now I'll just have to make do winging it with tripod and camera remote in hand, a skill that needs a bit of practise but certainly shows potential.
Over the weekend I was feeling fancy and wanted to try out some new bits I'd acquired from ASOS recently, so I put makeup on for the first time in over a week, grabbed my camera and headed outside. Despite the fact that I thought I had 'smizing' in the bag after all of these years of America's Next Top Model binging, I'm actually a bit of a hot mess! I definitely need to work on my angles and my facial expressions, but in lieu of an insta boyfriend, I think I can use this method to capture a few more pictures of myself for the blog/gram for the foreseeable future.
For those of you out there who shoot your own pictures - do you have any tips?
At the moment I'm just swivelling my screen around, pushing my remote control and hoping for the best!
p.s. Thank you for all of the lovely comments on my previous blog post - I really appreciate each and every one of you! For now I'm going to keep plugging away at the ol' blogging and see where it takes me, starting (hopefully) with a fun little travel post when I get back from my long weekend in Prague on Sunday!
